U.S. Army Engineer Warrant Officer Belt Buckle

The U.S. Army Engineer Warrant Officer Belt Buckle is designed as a tribute to the technical expertise, leadership, and enduring heritage of Army Engineers and the Warrant Officers who serve among their ranks. A Heritage Dating to 1775

The Engineer tradition predates the United States itself. On June 16, 1775, the Continental Congress authorized a Chief Engineer and two assistants for the newly organized Continental Army. Engineer troops contributed to the American Revolution through fortification, reconnaissance, mapping, and other specialized military engineering work. Congress formally organized engineers into a Corps in 1779, and in 1802 the Corps of Engineers was permanently established at West Point, where it was closely tied to the creation and operation of the U.S. Military Academy
